It’s that time of year...the birds are chirping, the flowers are starting to bloom… and unfortunately for us, the sun is shining on every spec of dust in the house. 🙈 By now we have probably all started thinking about our spring cleaning (if not- no judgment!) so I wanted to spend the month talking to you about how to make simple swaps to keep your household as low tox as possible!
Luckily for us, dōTERRA provides all-natural options, both for the DIYer and the non-DIYer to keep our homes free of chemicals and toxins.
The common everyday products MANY households use are working against you.
You may be wondering...wait!? What!?...but this says “natural” on the label. So I am good right!?
We need to evaluate the label because even many “natural” products are LOADED with chemicals, phthalates, and hormone disruptors that are bombarding your body. 😲
I want to bring some awareness into your household cleaners, “air fresheners”, yours and your kid’s personal care products because these are all areas that can be loaded with ingredients that are massively detrimental to your health.
♻️ But wait! There is good news! Making your home healthier does not have to be expensive or complicated.
Welcome to your abode—a home that’s greener and cleaner than ever before. If DIYs aren't your thing, doTERRAs got you covered! With the abode line, you can rest assured your cleaning and household products are what you’ve been looking for: natural, non-toxic, and effective.
If you are a DIY fan, here are some staple homemade cleaning products I always have in my home.

I have said it many times in the past, but one of my favorite things about doTERRA essential oils is that they are multi-purpose. Some of the essential oils you might already have in your cabinet for better sleep, improved digestion, or more energy but did you know you can also use them in your garden?

Getting fresh fruits and veggies in your home helps you and your family to grab healthy snacks throughout the day. The only unfortunate side of the produce section or farmers market is most of the produce has been sprayed with pesticides and then also a waxy coating to give them that nice, shiny appearance. 🤢
Once produce makes its way into my kitchen the first thing I do is clean it.
✅ My fruit and veggie wash options are:
¼ cup White or Apple Cider Vinegar
10 drops Lemon essential oil
Fill the rest of your 8 oz spray bottle with distilled water, shake and spray away!
you can fill your sink or a bowl with water, add 3-5 drops of Lemon essential oil, 3-4 pumps of On Guard foaming hand wash, swish, and let the produce soak for 5-10 minutes and rinse clean!
🤩 Bonus: I have found this will also help preserve the freshness of your produce!
Add Some Zing with Ginger! 💛

When used as a kitchen spice, the hot, earthy nature of Ginger oil adds flavor to a variety of dishes, and can help to support healthy digestion.
Newly sourced from Madagascar, doTERRA Ginger essential oil is derived from the fresh rhizome of the ginger plant—the subterranean stalk of a plant that shoots out the root system. A featured ingredient in many Asian dishes, Ginger has a hot, fragrant flavor when used as a kitchen spice. In Western tradition, Ginger is most often used in sweets—gingerbread and ginger snaps being two examples. Internal use of Ginger is best known as a digestive aid and for helping to ease occasional indigestion and nausea. Ginger essential oil can also be applied topically or inhaled for a soothing aroma.

We know that fiber is important, but it also seems to be one of those nutrients that is hard to get enough of. The recommended amount of fiber for an adult is between 25–38 grams of soluble and insoluble fiber every day depending on age, weight, and gender. However, even when eating a healthy diet, a large percent of the US is not even getting half that amount. doTERRA Fiber is a simple, effortless way to add 6 grams of soluble and insoluble fiber into your diet every day.
doTERRA Fiber is a powdered, lemon-flavored drink with several grams of soluble and insoluble fiber as well as doTERRA Lemon essential oil. In addition to the fiber content, this drink also contains an incredible prebiotic blend. Prebiotics are an essential piece of building a healthy gut microbiome—they are sort of like food for probiotics!
